The Indicator - Meditation Retreat by Imbue Design

This Barbie finds it necessary to release the less than positive energy and thoughts from her life. Lately this has been challenging and although she has seeken sanctuary away in safe places from other people to help heal her mind there has been little chance of solitude due to necessary interruptions and joyful happenstance reunions.

However fun and great it is to be social this doll must escape life to recharge herself... And she finds her unusually high introspection & distractibility to be a good barometer for being low on enough energy to give to others.

Very few people including her favorite Ken know that Barbie often goes to spiritual retreats to do this and she goes... Alone. In this life you must do things alone including occasionally travel. Being alone & proactively doing things is something she wishes others would make time to do. It's actually very healthy to recharge on your own. ;) Remember, when you love yourself you are never alone, dolls & Kens!

Well where do you find yourself getting centered? How about a meditation retreat?

The Indicator -Meditation Retreat by Imbue Design

Designed to heighten the sense of living this home was created with the intention of creating rich moments of living through its utilitarian architecture. Comprising of sustainable materials that beautifully accentuate the surrounding landscape this stunning house. Embracing the ‘Buddhist’ concept of emptiness, meaning there should be no distinction between physical & metaphysical the form of the structure lends itself to create seamless harmony & a living sanctuary.

Meditation can take place anywhere but it's best where you have simplicity of space and surroundings to facilitate a contemplation through silence. This space embraces the remoteness of the high terrain for Buddhists or those seeking silence to find themselves at home away from home. Among the sustainable materials the structure utilizes volcanic rock to promote a connection to the earth.

Would you retreat to this sanctuary to meditate?

Barbie would and she thinks you would too!
Enjoy!

Dream Roomspiration: Credit

Barbie loves to give credit where credit is due and while she disagrees with those who would refrain from doing so only when they choose... It's not her call. That persons karma is theirs to live with and someone will return the unkindness. What helps you gain karma points in life may also reduce your credit bill while saving your interiors and the planet!

North Bend House by Johnston Architects

Barbie loves seeing all her favorite Kens take charge of their lives and circumstances by bending things to their will... Especially when it bends her to take another look as they take command. Nothing quite like a man who goes after what he wants. Barbie loves seeing all Kens succeed! Especially her favorites! Kisses!

Here's a lovely home by Johnston Architects!

North Bend House by Johnston Architects

This house was built on site with many materials found, milled and crafted on the site. Blow-down trees from storms provided the logs that were milled into siding, fascias and trim. Large firs and cedars were felled, cured and processed to provide beams and some framing materials. A ground source heat pump supplemented by solar water preheating supplies energy to the house. To this, recycled materials, FSC certified materials, grey water recycling and other strategies are the basis of the soon to be achieved status of this house.” (via/archdaily.com)

Would you stay a spell living here?

Godiva House

Barbie knows that a grand house makes every Ken feel like a conquering God! Dolls, it may seem old fashioned but you might want to try letting your favorite Ken take the lead. What Ken wouldn't want to feel like they could champion the world? This Barbie knows she could run it, but it takes a special kind of Ken to conquer the world. Life in your Dreamhouse must match your Kens godly stature and a home like this is definitely a gift from the Gods!

Godiva House by Empty Space Architecture

The “Godiva house”, fits in a rational architecture, where the accuracy of the design associated with the use of simple geometric, use of noble materials and new construction methods, giving rise to a dynamic architectural object where the accuracy of the construction detail and the artistic form derived from a method based on constant dialogue between form and function. In a terrain of triangular drawing, two rectangular volumes interconnected by a central quadrangular volume (pivot), are rotated according to the imposed limits by municipal rules alignments, materializing the drawing of a house.” (Via/Archdaily)

Favre Ridge

San Francisco? Forget losing your heart in SF Dolls and Kens! This doll is over it already! She spends enough time there and can drive there any day of the week she wants. Needless to say Barbie was absolutely thrilled to get a chance to spend a day in the lovely beach side town of Santa Cruz where she rarely ventures off to. There's nothing like great architecture in a great town to lift any mood!

Laidley Street Residence

Getting away from it all is something that Barbie loves to do! In fact she encourages her favorite Ken to break away from the heavy grind of work and it all to feel better! Hopefully he enjoys himself when he is away! If he isn't... why go so far away? Anyhoo... Something Barbie hopes is that other Dolls and Kens take what they read here and apply to their lives productively not in a negative manner. So with that said... Are you missing the city life? This doll is! This Dream House in San Francisco offers a beautiful escape that this doll enjoys and wouldn't mind escaping to. Perhaps to live someday!
