The X House by Cadaval & Solà-Morales

Are you an X-man or woman? Everyone is someone's ex. Now Barbie has love for all her exes... well with the exception of one fellow she's remained on pretty good terms with them. Why? You never stop loving someone. Love is Forever. Love simply changes. Romantic feelings change to become compassionate. Besides, it's good karma and energy to live and let live. If you ever cared, you value someone the same way even when you are not a part of their life anymore. Some people don't get it but Barbie feels it's not her place to interfere in matters of exes or currents... Even on behalf of any of her favorite Kens. While she cares, understand it is a man's place to decide how he wants to handle these matters in his life.  Because likewise it is as much a doll's decision how she wants to deal with things herself. What kind of house would you perhaps desire to retreat to when you become an x-man or x-woman? One that looks like an X of course!

"The X House is also a constructive exploration: a technique regularly used for the infrastructural construction such as bridges and tunnels, is here developed to meet the architectural scale, aiming to incorporate efficiency, and reduction of costs to the construction. The use of a mixed technique based on the application of a high-density concrete allows projecting the material at a high pressure to a single-sided formwork, and to acquire high structural resistance in extremely short periods of time. Thus, it is possible to project continuous 6m high walls without the need to use a two-sided formwork (which would be the regular construction procedure). The house is therefore a living expression of the specific technique, and accumulates in its skin the diverse and continuous knowledge acquired within the process of construction" - arch daily

Would you want to enjoy being an ex in The X House?

Barbie would! Especially if there's mutant powers involved!
Enjoy!
