Scraphouse by Public Architecture

It's very easy to be green and minimize your eco footprint when you repurpose old items. The best way to repurpose design is in new design.

Scraphouse by Public Architecture

Scraphouse was designed by Public Architecture for World Environment Day 2005 in San Francisco. It was a green demonstration home built & repurposed completely from salvaged materials. Contrasted on Civic Center Plaza the ScrapHouse showcased the future of design by using of previously discarded materials.

Camera Jewel House by Tonkin Liu

Barbie loves the view of life through a camera and without. Life's a precious jewel and breathtaking to behold. Why not live inside a gem of dream house?

Camera Jewel House by Tonkin Liu

"The house is a jewel box. The jewels, whose honeycombed facades light each space, are
objects for living; cooking, cooling, washing and storing. As night falls, the glowing jewels
transform the micro-capillary street façade into a shadow theatre of light and movement.

In the courtyard, over the water, the house faces south while the studio faces north. The
two facades reflect each other, making the courtyard a space of infinite reflections. At
dusk in the studio, the blind comes down and the pinhole camera projects an inverted
image of the house on the back wall. Looking and being looked at become
interchangeable." ~Tonkin Liu

Minimalist House by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates

Less is the most! Barbie loves the very minimal and simplicity in the design of dreamhouses. And she can't help but get impatient to share when she finds a dreamhouse she adores!

Minimalist House by Shinichi Ogawa & Associates

Minimalist house is a home in Okinawa, Japan built and laid out using a simple grid system. The space is divided in to three living quarters: one-third dedicated to a courtyard, another is reserved for the bedroom, living, and dining area and the last third contains the study room, powder room, kitchen and entrance. Each third is arranged out in a single line to make use of the long and narrow plot. The intent of the design and layout is to minimize the division of space and create a flexible yet minimal space.
