An Urban Canvas by odD+ architects

When you are able to see everything in the world as a canvas then your art is truly a gift that you see value in... here’s a colorful concept of painting the architecture in the world.

An Urban Canvas by odD+ architects

“The concept is  a satirical statement and was conceived to incentivize art and creativity in one
of the most posh neighbourhoods of Quito while at the same time maintaining a sense of order
towards the uncontrollable graffiti interventions happening in the city.  The project is based on
commissioning a renowned graffiti artist once a year to express their art as an urban statement on
the façade of one of the oldest mid-rise residential towers of Quito, Ecuador”

Would you love to live in this conceptual world?
Barbie would!
Enjoy!

Painted House by Jonathan Woolf architects with Bharat Patel

Sometimes a bit of paint and ingeniuity can make dreamhouse great again!

The Painted House by Jonathan Woolf architects with Bharat Patel

The Painted House, located in London, was designed to be a home for a three generational family of 11 people. Architect Jonathan Woolf, calls the home a "model" for other developments.

The home occupies the exact place of a pair of 1920s semi-detached houses that previously occupied the site. Now different in every way from it's predecessor the contemporary, flat-roofed house follows the gabled, bay-windowed form of its neighbours.

The new home sustains a unique balance of durability, utility and aesthetic that is conducive for a small space. The ground floor is designed as an open floor plan combining the kitchen, dining and living area, while the lower level contains bedrooms, laundry and baths.

The exterior, sunken courtyard, has been conceived as another unique room with an atmosphere that enables interaction with nature and architecture.

The Lock & Leave House by Keen Architecture

Barbie loves to see commitment. It overjoys her to see that one of her favorite bachelor Kens has locked it up and left it all behind for love. It fills her heart to no end to see him locked down in love and happy. While she hasn't quite found her true love she knows it's out there and she's ready for it whenever it happens find its way into her life. Here's the perfect dream home for anyone locking themselves down!

The Lock & Leave House by Keen Architecture

Located in Perth, Australia, Kern Architecture  designed a low-maintenance home that one could just ‘lock and leave.’

The home has a central double-height void with a courtyard, that creates a secure and very private outdoor space. Wood has been used throughout the home to add a natural element. All of the living spaces surrounding the courtyard, open up to it through bi-fold doors. ~ contemporist

Leash House by Actual Size Architecture

Barbie is the first to admit that sometimes you have to keep all your Kens on a leash & this does extend to great architecture. Why not keep your favorite pied-à-terre leashed to your dream house? One home owner did!

Leash House by Actual Size Architecture

A one-story, ground-floor, bedroom addition for a homeowner with a waning enthusiasm for stairs. A small porch provides easy access to the garden and detached studio. A roof deck serves the kitchen on the first floor above.
