Style Icon: Coco Chanel

Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.
~ Coco Chanel

A career that spanned decades and remarkably one of the first women to succeed at the helm of her own legacy, Coco Chanel created timeless fashions with suits, hats and little black dresses that are still iconic and influential in our culture today. Coco loved designing dresses and clothing that became an empire. Despite the simple fact a man had backed her start, Chanel remained in control and maintained all desicions in her money & business.
Here's are a few examples Chanel...

Do you wear or own Chanel?

Enjoy!

Daring & Delightful, a sneak peek from the new series, Indulgence from Style Icon Tyler Shields captures a pair of Chanel ballet slippers. The image alone is iconic & epitomizes the chic sophistication of brand while playfully exploring the concept of embracing luxury.

Lady Dior - Lady Noire

This is from the Lady Dior campaign that I loved so much last winter. I knew it was very cloak and dagger from just the look of that picture. As a matter of fact, I have just seen this for the first time. I love it! And I've discovered that they've decided to continue on with another installment for the new campaign - Lady Rouge. enjoy. kisses. M.

Secret Agent.

Photobucket

Secret Agent? Actually it's not anything like that at all. This is the new Lady Dior campaign featuring Marion Cotillard that I randomly came across in the new BAZAAR today. Marion's the lovely actress that won the Oscar for playing Edith Piaf in 'La Vie en Rose'. If you haven't seen that film... YOU MUST! I love this picture and in a sense came up with my own imaginative story. The whole thing seems so spy vs. spy, as she is perched on the edge of the Eiffel Tower watching for the clear and calculating her next stealth-like move. But of course, she is fabulously dressed and accessorized. I've been watching too much ALIAS (I love that show!) and have sort gotten myself caught up and fixating on a tangent again. You know, seeing sinister people in the shadows and wondering if the man on the cell phone is planning to destroy the world or just ringing his mom... that type of stuff. Anyhow, have a look at the campaign. I love it! Hope you do too. kisses. m.
