The Music 69.

I've seen the rain pouring down
The sky was grey with a speck of blue
Peek through a hole in the clouds
The sun was screaming, "Hey You!".

As you ramble through your sorrow
Seems like everything come out wrong
I'm living in yesterday's tomorrows
I know something's helping me along

I'll take a melody and see what I can do about it.
I'll take a simple C and G and feel brand now about it.

I understand why the old fisherman
sail along, sail along, sail along. sail along, sail along,
someday he'll be gone

I hear you talking about your troubles
Everybody's got their troubles too
You can make them burst like bubbles
If you know just what to do

You know I've been called a dreamer
Dreams that never come true
But I've been called so many things before
Tell you what I'm gonna do

I'll take a melody and see what I can do about it.
I'll take a simple C and G and feel brand now about it.

I understand why the old fisherman
sail along, sail along, sail along. sail along, sail along,
someday he'll be gone

I'll take a melody and see what I can do about it.
I'll take a simple C and G and feel brand now about it.

Shine on, keep on shining, shine on,
keep on shining, shine on, keep on shining.

I'll Take A Melody - The Grateful Dead

Are you blue, or red or any other shade of living? An amazing friend of mine listens to music when he's blue, red, white or green [*kisses, love!] And he happens to make the most amazing mix-tapes [ok mix cds. But y'all know what I mean, right?] Sometimes the words have very little to do with what's going on inside his head, heart or hand but he'll belt that tune out like no other. Even if it's a fabulous song by... let's say kylie minogue, the veronicas, madonna, or paul simon, the cure, ac/dc and the list continues. Freddy Mercury eat your heart out from the grave, cause the voice is on fire! Anyhoo they say music is the best therapy whenever you feel a little blue, mean red or quite simply off your game. I can't disagree with this line of reasoning. Honey's the music is even fabulous when you're feeling amazing and luck is on your side! So for all the things that we can do nothing about, the heartaches, the troubles, and for some of you with the dreams that don't come true... how about a melody to help you feel brand new? Sing a little song. And if you need some new melodies why not ask a friend to help. I'm sure that they won't mind sharing some of their music with you. enjoy the grateful dead. if you've never heard of the dead... what are you waiting for? have a listen and keep on shining.  kisses. m.
