So I’m finally leaving the country! In about 5 days I’m leaving on a Jet Plane, heading to Spain for 10 days and Paris, France for about 4 days. It’s 2 months overdue, which is longer than it should have been. I’ve been kinda tight lipped about this trip cause I was afraid a few times that it was a no-go situation. But thanks to a very good friend, Nayo, who completely worked me into his trip [THANK YOU!!!!], it is GOING TO HAPPEN! I feel awful for this but I really need to be away from home right now, and this is the ultimate adventure too. It’s a somewhat backpack type of trip. Pack lightly. No computer. So there will be no internet, unless I hit up a café [which I may] and no mobile phone/mobile web, unless I plan to pay the piper all my hard earned cash. Which only text me or hit me up if you really, really need to share. Cause as sad as it is… I will answer that phone. No joking.


Spain

Casa Batlló - Antoni Gaudí

First stop is Madrid. I’m pretty much laid back about what there is to see. I’ve been researching as much as possible to get an idea of what there is, but honestly I’m pretty easy-going about it all. Again I’m really just so fortunate and blessed to be going at all. Second stop is Barcelona and… Ok ok, one of my goals is to see the work of Antoni Gaudí. There are several examples of his architecture in Barcelona. He is one of my all time favorites - architect/designer. His buildings are so fluid and life-like. It feels as though it’s a living breathing very much alive entity. Gaudi. Architecture. Art. Of course there will be some pics, after all, my inner ‘designer’ is screaming with anticipation. I can’t wait.

Last Stop. I’m excited and really wishing I was there longer! But it’s another trip. Maybe this year too! I’m pumped. From the first moment I saw this photo I wanted to climb the Eiffel Tower and try to re-create this. Haha! So one of two things is going to happen… A) I get this amazing tourist picture that I can share with my friends and family and tell the story OR… B) I get an amazing picture of the French Police dragging me off, to share with everyone and live to tell that tale. Either way it’s a win-win situation as far as I’m concerned! Cause I will be climbing the Eiffel Tower! Officially I’m going to see a French concert, and I’m really looking forward to it! Last but not least, I will be attempting a cruise by the Louvre on a commando kamikaze mission to see what I can as fast as I can. Which I’m really beginning to think it’s an impossibility. It will be a definite far reach especially when there’s so much architecture/art to see. So there are just a few other crazy things I will be trying to get away with. But I’ll share my stories later… and because it’s me, there will be stories. Quite honestly, there's always a story, I just don’t share most of them.
