What...

What…

“What do you want?”
“Why must I want something?
“You always do. So give up and tell me. What do you want?”
“I want to know what you’re thinking.”
“I’m not thinking anything.”
“Yeah, you are.”
“How do you know?”
“I just do.”
“That’s not an answer. How do you really know that I’m thinking anything?”
“You have your thinking face on and it’s wearing quite tired from the looks of it.”
“Alright, I am thinking. But I’m not thinking what you think I’m thinking.”
“Why so presumptuous? Maybe I’m not thinking that you are thinking of something in particular.”
“Oh but you are thinking that you know what I’m thinking.”
“How do you know that?”
“Because I just do.”
“Really! How do you know?”
“Because like you know my tired face, I know your voice and it sounds chalked full of thoughtfulness.”
“Thoughtfulness? Is that a nice way of calling me nosy?”
“If the shoe fits, then wear it.”
“I was, I mean I’m only thinking that you need a break from what your mind is focusing on.”
“And that means we should discuss it?”
“Well, I only…”
“I’m not thinking something about you. Please don’t think… It’s hardly a thought.”
“Then why think it? And…”
“The face?”
“Yes. Why make the face?”
“Why use the voice of concern?”
“Because I’m concerned.”
“Look, my head hurts. And my face is likely reflecting that feeling.”
“But…”
“And my thought is not that complex. I’m thinking... mostly I’m deciding how I’m getting to work in the morning. The road is blocked on the northbound freeway.”
“Is that all?”
“You sound more thoughtful now. Do you need convincing?”
“If you say that’s it, then that’s it.”
“That’s it. Now come here and show me you’re convinced then.”
“Is that what you want?”

300. What do you want? Mostly in life, people ought to know what they want. It’s important. Once you know who you are, and what you want you don’t get upset as often. It’s important to have an idea of what you want, once you do then anything is possible. It’s when people become consumed with material possession and luxury that it is most obvious there is a deeper need going unfulfilled. It is neither greed nor obsession to live comfortably with nice things, and another to collect and collect the unnecessary to fulfill an emptiness. And people. wanting people... you can not control people and placing your happiness in something you can not control will not make you happy. So think carefully about what you want. Enjoy. live, love, breathe. kisses. m.
