The song is a favorite and one that conveys a message while giving you the notion you ought to be dancing. It is a criticism of Americans hedonistic behavior that consumes them while there are issues of significance continuing to occur.

Music as a social commentary. It's been there all along. Music, Art, Literature and anything creative can be used to spread a message of social importance. There is creativity in every one of of us capable of being heard. You want to say something, think of a way to say it. In the lyrics of the Beatles "You say you want a revolution, well you know, we all want to change the world."  What kind of message would you want to convey?
