Love your Best Photographs not your Best Camera!!

The instrument is not the camera but the photographer.”

– Eve Arnold

Photos are without time... A day at the beach in the 1950s looks somewhat like a day at the beach now.

It's not the different cameras, the different types of film you use or even how you develop the film or technically alter the digital image... The heart of any image lies with the photographer. You can have any working camera, and shoot a spectacular image. Do not be discouraged by professional photographers or have to listen to all their advice... Listen to some of it though if you wish to emulate them. Otherwise, like any true artist... Eventually you must create your own style. With some hard work you'll create something you love and it will show!.

The Best Cameras you may love will come and go but your Best Images are forever! Love them!

Some advice I was once given by my design mentor and I think it applies to all art: “A true designer finds an image that is a timeless moment and captures it in a space. It can never be re-experienced again. Duplicated, yes, recaptured no. Go and find what inspires you and take pictures of it! Capture moments & materials from the present and design from them.”

Enjoy what you have! Don't be afraid to break or change cameras. It happens. Trust your own style and imitate to learn... yes copy until you find what works. But never think you need an expensive camera or type of camera to capture the best shot! Listen to yourself, trust your instincts and don't be afraid to take advice from others!

Love yourself more!
